The autochthonous ORTICE cultivar is typical  of Benevento. The harvest takes place by hand with facilitating equipment. The pressing carried out within 24 of the collection. The monocultivar evo oil from Ortice has a yellow color with green hues. On the nose and on the palate it has sensations of bitter and spicy with a medium fruitiness, with a very high concentration of polyphenols. On the palate you can notice hints of tomato, fruity and with floral notes. It is an excellent oil for seasoning vegetable and legume soups, flush with boiled or grilled fish and first courses and white meats. In some cases, it is also used for the preparation of red sauces.

EVOO - "ORTICE" Leonardis monovarietal extra virgin olive oil 250 ml.

The autochthonous ORTICE cultivar is typical of the territories of Alto Tammaro di Pontelandolfo, Casalduni and San Lupo and Mount Taburno in the province of Benevento. It is a tree with a very expansive and thick crown and the drupes are ellipsoidal in shape; the large size has a vinous red color at the time of harvesting. The olives are harvested by hand with the help of facilitating equipment such as abacchi and with nets spread under the trees. The pressing is carried out within 24 of the collection and with continuous cycle plants. The cultivation of the ORTICE cultivar has ancient roots and is widespread throughout the territory even at altitudes of 700-800 meters. The typical climate of medium-high hill areas favors its cultivation with an excellent yield of about 18-20%. The monocultivar extra virgin olive oil from Ortice that is obtained has a yellow color with green hues and affects the sense of smell and the palate with decisive sensations of bitter and spicy with a medium fruitiness, with a very high concentration of antioxidant polyphenols. On the palate you can notice typical hints of tomato, fruity and with floral notes.
